3G (Third Generation Technology)
The 3G based on a standard & Mobile telecommen.wikipedia.org/wiki/2Gen.wikipedia.org/wiki/4Gunication use services. 3G Telecomumunication network provide an information rate at least 200 Kbit/sec. 3G find applications in wireless voice, Mobile Technology Internet Access, Fixed Wireless Internet Access, Video calls and Pocket Mobile TV, GPS , Telemidicine.
- The first 3G network developed in 1998 who being at the stand of 2.5 GPRS. 3G mobile network that comply with the IMT-2000 [International of Mobile Telecommunication - 2000] specifications by the International Telecommunication Union.
- The 3G technology is tyhe result of research and developement work carried out by the ITU, 3G communication spectrum between 400 MHz to 3 GHz.
- The first 3G network for Pre - commercial was launched by NTT Docomo in Japan in 1998, branded as FOMA and first commercial was also launched 3G in Japan on 01 October, 2001, NTT Docomo.
- In Asia first time was adopted 3G services by Nepal Telecom, at this time 3G relativaly slow becuase the 3G do not use same Radio Frequency of 2G.
- According to the GSA [Global Mobile Suppliers Association], 190 3G network were operating in 40 countries on December, 2007 and 154 HSDPA networks were operating in 71 countries.
- In Asia, Canada , Europe and USA telecommunications compaies use W-CDMA technology. 3G have also mobile broadband because its speed and capability alternative for Internet browsing & USB modems.
- 3GPP and 3GPP2 both are working on extensions to 3G standard that are based on an all IP network and MIMO Techniology.
- 3G provides higher speed than the minimum technology equipment for 3G services. Recentally 3G denoted 3.5G & 3.75G who also provided mobile broadband access of several mobile for smartphones and mobile modem in laptop computers. The 3G offered the UMTS systems offered in 2001, standardrized by 3GPP.
- The latest UMTS release HSPA+ may be provide peak data rates upto 56 Mbit/sec. in the downlink and 22 Mbit/sec in the uplink. The 3G systems and Radio Interfaces are based onthe spread spectrum Radio Transmission Technology .
- 4G [IMT- Advanced] the successor of 3G, short of the bandwidth requirements for 4G for stationary 1Gbit/sec and 100 Mbit/sec for mobiles, these standard classified as Pre-4G.
